Our Team

Goldy Gorelick, LCSW

Director

The Jewish EFT Institute provides couples with outstanding treatment in couples therapy. As the director of the Jewish EFT Institute, all therapy conducted in the institute is under Goldy’s leadership.
Goldy is a certified EFT therapist and supervisor. She has helped bring EFT to the Jewish Orthodox population and continues to consult and supervise groups for the growing EFT community.
Goldy has extensive experience working with trauma victims and is a recognized expert in the strengths-based treatment of trauma victims. She is a certified EMDR therapist and is trained in various other modalities of trauma treatment including IFS, Inner Child Work, Imaginal Nurturing, among other effective therapeutic modalities.
Goldy is an Adjunct Faculty member at Concordia College as well as a field coordinator. Her extensive experience and knowledge has given her students a broad learning experience.  Goldy also lectures on a range of different topics, and has instructed at weekend couple getaways.
Goldy is an effective therapist and lecturer who has brought individuals and couples to a place in their lives where they can thrive on their own.


 

Elkie (Elizabeth) Gruman, LCSW

Clinician

Elkie is a licensed clinical social worker who received her MSW from Rutgers School of Social Work. She
specializes in working with couples in distress, utilizing her extensive training in Emotionally Focused
Therapy. She also has vast experience working with individuals who suffer with anxiety, intimacy issues
and OCD and draws on numerous modalities including Imaginal Nurturing, IFS, CBT, and Ex/RP.
Elkie has been successful in helping individuals and couples make the changes needed to improve their
every- day functioning and improve their connection in relationships.


 

Zissy Fried, LSW

Clinician

Zissy earned her Social work degree at Rutgers University, and has trained intensively in attachment theory and Structural Family Therapy. She has extensive experience working with families, fostering couple resilience and attachment to improve the quality of family life, particularly during the years of childrearing. As a team member of JEFT, Zissy engages in ongoing trainings in EFT and trauma informed care including IFS, Somatic Therapy, and Inner Child work. She is also a Rutgers faculty member as a Student Instructor/Supervisor.
